Welcome to BLITZ Car Rentals! Before you embark on your journey, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our terms and conditions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable rental experience.

 

1. Inclusive Basic Rent:

Our basic rent encompasses Collision Damage Waiver, 24/7 road-side assistance, theft insurance, free modifications (24 hours before pick up time), and Value Added Tax (VAT). Renters must thoroughly inspect the vehicle upon receipt and acknowledge that it is in good, clean, and usable condition.

 

2. Daily Rental Charges:

Daily rental charges are calculated on a 24-hour basis, starting from the time of pick-up.

 

3. Out-of-Hours Fee:

For pick-up or drop-off outside our normal working hours (08:00 am to 11:00 pm), an out-of-hours fee of AED 300/- per delivery or collection will apply.

 

4. One-Way Fee:

A one-way fee of AED 50 shall apply for drop-off locations different from the pick-up location.

 

5. Modification Charges:

If the booking is modified within 24 hours of pick-up, a modification fee of AED 150 applies.

 

6. Vehicle Return Condition:

Renters must return the vehicle to our BLITZ Car Rentals office or representative in the same condition it was received, including all accessories. Missing or damaged items will be charged.

 

7. Security Deposit:

A security deposit ranging from AED 1000/- to AED 5000/- is required upon signing the agreement. The deposit will be released within twenty-one (21) working days after vehicle return, after deducting applicable charges. Transfer charges are the renter's responsibility.

 

8. Right to Recall:

BLITZ reserves the right to recall a vehicle and cancel the contract at any time, and the renter must cooperate.

 

9. Personal Belongings:

BLITZ shall not be liable for any personal belongings left in the vehicle.

 

10. Driving Boundaries:

BLITZ vehicles are allowed for driving within the geographical boundaries of the United Arab Emirates.

 

11. Fuel Policy:

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when hired; fuel charges may apply if the fuel level is lower.

 

12. Vehicle Maintenance and Damages:

Renters are responsible for ensuring the vehicle's overall condition during the rental period. Missing or damaged items will be charged.

 

13. Cleanliness Policy:

Vehicles must be returned in a clean state. All BLITZ vehicles are Non-Smoking; eating, drinking, and pets are not allowed in the vehicle. Valet charges of AED 600/- apply for returning dirty vehicles.

 

14. Young Driver Fee:

A young driver fee of AED 50/- per day will apply to renters under 24 years old. A young driver fee of AED 50/- per day will apply, along with a security deposit of AED 2,500/-. Young drivers are not eligible to purchase the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW). In the event of damage or an accident, the renter shall pay an insurance excess of AED 2,000/- in addition to 20% of the repair cost. A Police Report is mandatory.

 

15. Rental Duration:

Monthly rentals are calculated on a thirty (30) days rental period with advance payment required. Early vehicle returns cancels the monthly rate plan, and daily rate plan applies.

 

16. Fine Payments and Administration Fee:

During the rental period, the renter must settle all fines within 24 hours of issuance, along with an administration fee of AED 70/- per fine.

 

17. Rental Invoices Upon Request:

Upon request, BLITZ will provide rental invoices to the renter.

 

18. Toll Charges:

AED 5/- per crossing will be charged for tolls.

 

19. Value Added Tax (VAT):

A 5% VAT will be applicable on BLITZ rental charges.

 

20. Vehicle Servicing and Dashboard Notifications:

The vehicle is due for servicing every 10,000 km or 6 months, or as per the dashboard notification. The renter is responsible for promptly notifying BLITZ, following the sticker on the windscreen or dashboard notification.

 

21. Responsible for Vehicle Servicing and Repairs:

Failure to service the vehicle as scheduled, resulting in damage, makes the renter liable for repair costs and daily rental charges during the repair period.

 

22. Replacement Vehicle for Breakdowns:

In the event of a vehicle breakdown, BLITZ will promptly provide a replacement vehicle.

 

23. Mandatory Police Report for Accidents:

For any minor or major accident, a police report is mandatory, even if the renter has purchased full insurance (Super Collision Damage Waiver - SCDW). Failure to submit the police report will result in the renter being accountable for repair costs and daily rental charges during the repair period.

 

25. Police Report for Minor Accidents:

For minor accidents involving scratches (greater than 2cm long), dents (greater than the size of a 25 Fils coin), paint damage, broken accessories, etc., a police report is mandatory. If the renter has purchased full insurance (Super Collision Damage Waiver - SCDW) and submitted the police report, no charges for damages will apply.

 

26. Total Loss and Vehicle Value:

In the event of a total loss of the vehicle without Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) coverage, the renter is liable for an additional charge of 20% of the vehicle value, as per the insurance company.

 

27. Exclusions from SCDW Insurance:

Windshield, tires, wheels, wheel caps, and tools damages are not covered under the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) insurance. The renter shall bear the full repair cost for any damages to these components.

 

28. Prompt Reporting of Mechanical Failure and Damage:

The renter must promptly report any mechanical failure or damage to BLITZ without delay. The renter will be held responsible for any damage caused due to late reporting.

 

29. Liability for Flat Tire Damage:

The renter will be liable for the full cost of repairing the vehicle if it is damaged due to being operated with a flat tire. Service or breakdown-related issues must be reported immediately by calling the number specified in this agreement.

 

30. Prohibited Off-Road and Rash Driving:

Off-road driving and rash driving are strictly prohibited for BLITZ vehicles. Failure to comply will void insurance coverages, and the renter will be fully liable for any damages, repair costs, and daily rental charges to cover potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed.

 

31. Prohibition of Third-Party Repairs:

The renter shall not allow any third party to repair the rented vehicle without written consent from BLITZ Car Rentals.

 

32. Responsible for Punctured Tyre Replacement:

The renter is responsible for replacing the punctured tire with the spare tire. The damaged tire will be inspected by a BLITZ inspection specialist, and the renter shall bear the cost of the damaged tire in case of misuse.

 

33. Lost Key Liability:

The renter will be held responsible for the loss of any keys. The charge for a lost key will range from AED 1000 to AED 3000, depending on the vehicle category.

 

34. Designated Drivers Only:

The renter understands and ensures that only drivers listed on this contract are allowed to operate the vehicle. In the event of an accident, the renter will be accountable for the full repair cost and daily rental charges to cover potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed. In case of total loss, the renter will be responsible for paying 20% of the vehicle's value as per the insurance company. Failure to submit a police report may result in the renter paying the full vehicle value as per the insurance company.

 

35. Accountability for Accidents Under Influence:

In the event of any accident or damage to the vehicle caused by the driver being under the influence of alcohol or any narcotic drug, the renter will be accountable for the full repair cost and daily rental charges to cover potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed. In case of total loss, the renter shall pay the full vehicle value as per the insurance company.
